Pure Images Photography

While taking some video shots for Chase and Whitney, I came upon these weeds. Being in Southern California doesn't afford me the ability to see things like this too often. They are either cut town before they get this size, walked over, picked, etc. I got down and took a couple shots of these weeds. Texas is so quiet and peaceful. I fell in love!

The last week or two have been crazy for us and not exactly in a good way. I (Crystal speaking here) was involved in a horrible car accident a little over a week ago that completely shook my world. I have never had any near death experiences of any sort, so this one was a first for me. The minute I realized I had no way of avoiding the situation, I was preparing myself to say goodbye to the world for the last time. All I could think of is that I was thankful my husband and kids weren't with me at that moment. I didn't worry about dying, since those most important to me were safe in places other than in that car with me. They were safe and that was all that mattered. Once I was hit, it took me a minute or two to realize that everything was ok. I looked up at the light and noticed that it was still green and I was at a dead stop. I tried to get out of the car and couldn't really think clearly so I stumbled a little bit and just tried taking deep breaths which was difficult ...

There are moments in your life that you will remember forever. Your first kiss, walking down the aisle at your wedding, your children being born... as a photographer, I get to experience moments like that in other's lives. I LOVE what I do. I get the privilege of seeing brand new babies before family gets to see them. I get to hear the chatter of a bride and her father before he walks her down the aisle. I am so hooked on what I do. It's an adrenaline rush each and every time I am behind a camera. I am so lucky and so blessed. I am especially blessed that I have people entrust those moments to me. I am the one that captures those moments in time for people and I get to create beautiful memories that they look back on and they last for lifetimes. How many of us have photographs of our loved ones that aren't with us anymore... I have generations of photos of my family. Those are precious memories that I continue to hold on to and will pass down. I love being ab...
